The Derek Gardner Turning Hammers feature an asymmetric design and are personal favourites of Derek himself being exceptionally easy to forge with. Slightly weighted to the flat side for greater control they are easy to use, powerful and accurate.

A formidable presence at shoeing and shoemaking competitions both within the UK and abroad, Derek has been Reserve World Champion at the Calgary Stampede World Championships twice and never finished out of the Top Five. He has won the UK National Championships twice.

The Derek Gardner range of farrier tools was launched in 2000 following years of successfully making tools for personal use. Subsequent demand encouraged Derek to upscale and produce the tools for the competitive commercial market. Since their introduction the range has become renowned for quality, attention to detail and longevity.
