Standardbred racehorses are very hard on their plates & our customers ask us for an even better-wearing plate from the industry leader, Super Sound.

Damn, how do we do that?

We could make the plate thicker or wider however we about gone to our limits there & we have the Century Support for more cover, wear and support.

We could make it harder, that would increase wear but make it hard to shape & put more concussions up the leg!

Why not add in more wear bars? Yes…. but this would require a big rethink of the production line to do it. Okay, no choice & Kerckhaert loves a challenge!

The result is the Ultra Sound Tradition the first Kerckhaert plate to have double steel wear inserts in the toe PLUS a steel insert at each heel to maximise wear!

All in the classic Kerckhaert tradition shape, with pitched toenails, to drop on any standardbred hoof.  Nice, more reshaping thoroughbred plates, How good is that!
